Altadena Partners & Landscape Resources
301 Organics is working with local landscape professionals, nurseries, tree trimmers, local gardeners, growers, and many community organizations and other key environmental and soil scientists. We are here to help you restore, rebuild, and maintain the health of your soil for your new and established plants to thrive well into the future. Our experienced team and collaborators are well equipped to provide support and guidance on future landscape and green building design plans, as well as sustainable living and property maintenance. Plan now for a home and garden that support your overall health and well-being, now and into the future. We can also help provide and install temporary irrigation kits now, to support your plants during recovery efforts and construction.
Landscape Designers & Landscape Architects we are collaborating with include:
Local Nurseries: these stock locally native plants to support our regional biodiversity and which are adapted to our unique climate. Because they evolved here, these plants thrive with winter rains and tolerate our hot, dry summers. Smart water management, including greywater, stormwater, and smart but minimal irrigation, will keep plants hydrated and fire resistant.
Note: there has been a lot of misinformation about native plants and fire. But, as the Oak trees have shown, these plants don’t burn unless they are dead and dry. Instead, they hold water effectively, especially in urban gardens with healthy soil. They are often protective, not flammable.
We are also working with these local organizations to support Altadena, as it rebuilds, restores and replants for a greener future for us all.
