Program Description
The 301 Organics Soil Clinic is a hands‑on, community learning space held every first Saturday of the month, offering residents practical guidance on soil safety, testing, and land‑care decisions throughout the rebuilding process. Each clinic covers soil safety tips, how to test and interpret your soil, and what different contaminants mean for your property. You’ll receive clear insights into treatment options, including both full‑service support and DIY approaches you can start immediately.
Our composting technicians lead compost building and compost extract demonstrations, showing how organic matter helps detoxify soil and rebuild structure. You’ll explore the soil food web, the bacteria, protozoa, nematodes, and fungi that drive nutrient cycling and land healing, and learn why restoring this biodiversity is essential for long‑term recovery. Participants can view real examples of soil organisms under the microscope and understand how these microscopic communities protect workers, stabilize land, and accelerate ecological restoration.
